LUNA Harem pants - sewing pattern

LUNA harem pants is a casual, easy fit pattern, my son's favorite pants since he was a baby. This pattern comes with two options for leg finish: with or without cuffs. For sizes NewBorn to 3 years old, the waist is finished with a waistband cuff, more comfy for a belly free movements, as at this age kids do a lot of rolling and crawling. Also these are roomy for nappy requirements. For sizes 4 to 8 years old, the waist is finished with elastic for a better fitting, keeping it tightly in place, for the more energetic movements, such as jumping, running or climbing. You can also choose to sew a front pocket or knee patches, at your preference. This versatile model makes it grow-with-me friendly, as it fits comfy on the waist and hips.

SIZING
This pattern comes in 13 sizes: NB - 3m - 6m - 9m - 12m - 18m - 24m - 3Y - 4Y - 5Y - 6Y - 7Y - 8Y To choose the appropriate size see the measurements table (available in the images).

SEWING LEVEL - beginner to intermediate
It is important to know how to use the sewing machine (sew straight and curves), but you can sew it even with little experience. If you have any question during the process, please contact me, I’ll be glad to help. Knit fabrics are easier to sew with an overlock machine, but you can sew it with your regular sewing machine using a zigzag stitch (instructions in the tutorial).

FABRICS
Main Pants: college/sweat jersey knit. 
Waistband and leg cuff’s: ribbing knit (optional, depending on the version you’re sewing). Pocket: jersey cotton.

Sewing tutorial with step by step instructions (with technical drawings) to help you sew the pants
Sewing pattern in A0 (copyshop version) – prints in 1 page
Sewing pattern in Letter / A4 (domestic printer version) – prints in up to 8 pages (depending on the size)

PAPER PATTERN
